What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Node.js Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the client. We’d like to work with someone who is a team-player, self-motivated and innovative in what he/she does. Most importantly, we’d like to work with someone who is always willing to learn new technologies and apply them to solve engineering problems at SimplyData. Our motto is: Learn - Play - Solve!

Are you right for this role?
The right candidate will have adequate experience leading web application development, preferably with Node.js and Express.js framework. You have a good understanding of relational and NoSQL (not required) databases, experience writing and consuming REST APIs, Test Driven Development, and are self-motivated to learn new, relevant technologies.

What will you do?

Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic,  ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. Therefore, understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

  • Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic.

  • Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code.

  • Design and implementation of high-availability, and performant applications.

  • Implementation of security and data protection.

  • Integration of data storage via REST services

Position Requirements

Skills and qualifications

  • At least 3 years of web development experience.

  • Good understanding of Object-Oriented programming.

  • Strong proficiency with JavaScript.

  • Knowledge of Node.js and Express frameworks.

  • Basic understanding the nature of asynchronous programming.

  • User authentication and authorization at server-side.

  • Knowledge of RESTFul Web Service.
